Ar Coated Infrared Germanium Focus Lens for Thermal Imaging Application

  Oplens Optical can provide a variety of custom infrared optical lenses made of different IR optical materials. We offer cylindrical, plano-convex/concave and meniscus lenses, as well as achromatic doublets and aspherical options to reduce aberrations within the system.

  Oplens manufactures infrared (IR) lens within the wavelength of 3~12μm. Our IR products can be applied to Thermal imaging, night vision, surveillance, life sciences and other fields.

 


  In addition to the traditional cold machining of spherical and planar components, we can also process aspherical lenses by turning the surface with precision diamond lathe. This technology can be used to correct spherical aberration in optical systems. At the same time, we can make anti-reflection coating in the rage of 4~12μm, including high hardness (HD) and diamond like carbon (DLC) coating.

  Oplens equipped Precitech SPDT with Taylor Hobson PGI 3D profilometer. The results of the profilometer measurement system can be directly put into the diamond machine to provide positive compensation values for the machining of aspheric components. At the same time, curvature, surface flatness, roughness and other indicators can be quantified effectively and accurately.
 
Testing

 

  Oplens equipped Zygos which work by producing a beam of laser light and transmitting it to the optic under test by way of a very, very accurate lens fitted to the Zygo. This is the key to the instrument's accuracy. As the light passes through this lens, which is not coated, it enables 4% of the light to be reflected back into the Zygo.
