1. What is the SHMC?
By treating a lens with a Hydrophobic coating we are filling the spaces between the crystals of which the coating layer consists. There are hundreds of thousands of these crystals that are deposited on the lens surface during the coating process. There are spaces between these crystals or rods into which dirt and grease penetrates during normal use of the lens.
2. Why do you need SHMC?
Hydrophobic lenses are self cleaning glasses. Through the action of water, the former by rolling droplet and the latter by sheeting water that carries away the dirt. Most of the Surfing sunglasses are made of Hydrophobic lenses .
